Hello everyone,

My name is Simeon W Dhamarrrandji.

I live in Galiwin’ku, Elcho Island. I’ve got one sister and four brothers. We all stayed in Galiwin’ku as we were growing up. I finished year 11 at Shepherdson College.

I was working with Raypirri (discipline) and then I had a job on the Raypirri program. Yalu’ Marŋgithinyaraw employed me to do Raypirri for children, taking them out bush on camps. I was a coordinator on this program, helping to prepare the children and make arrangements for the camps to run well. The camps were to support the children who were the ones who were doing break-ins and sniffing petrol in our community.
