Why Research Is Important to Me
Research is important because it’s about helping people, especially Yolŋu families and finding new ways to do things that improve our health and wellbeing. Sharing health knowledge through programs like Walking Together helps us create stronger, healthier communities.

  • Doing point-of-care health checks in a way Yolŋu people understand
  • Sharing information about health and supporting people to make better choices

Special Skills

  • Confident with point-of-care health checks
  • Social and active – I enjoy talking to people and encouraging them to join the program
  • Skilled in running activities for young people
  • Strong community engagement – letting Yolŋu people know about the program and how to get involved

Future Aspirations
In the future, I want to continue working in two areas djama (work):

  1. Sport and Recreation – running programs for young people
  2. Walking Together – continuing to support Yolŋu health and wellbeing through community-based research and health checks
