Ngukurr and Darwin, NT
My name is Brenda Mulurrtja Dhamarrandji. My skin name is Bilinydjan and my totem is shark.
I was born in Gove in the Northern Territory and I grew up in Ngukurr, and now I live in Darwin. I went to Ngukurr school and my favourite subject was science because it was fun, and we made volcanoes with paper and vinegar and food colouring. In my spare time I liked to be playing basketball with my friends.
When I was seventeen, I moved to live in Darwin. I live there with my grandparents, Ian and Mercy Gumbula. I have been doing work experience in childcare at the Guluman Centre, In Ngukurr. I like looking after my siblings.
Recently I have started doing research work. I like it because it is interesting and in the future I can become a research worker, who is strong in my culture and does good work for my family and community.
